    Microsoft makes a load of money licensing its Android based patents and selling subscriptions for some of its Office based iOS and Android apps. During Microsoft's annual Ignite conference for developers and IT pros, which ended last week, Microsoft revealed that its mobile Office Suite has been downloaded more than 1.5 billion times by iOS and Android users. Between the two platforms, the Suite has 100 million active monthly members.
